Marshall’s homeland is inspired by where one of the creators grew up as a child, on the eastern shore of Maryland. Hannah grew up in Cambridge Maryland, near the Blackwater Wildlife Refuge. It’s a beautiful area full of wild life, including bald eagles, and the more important lighting bugs.
